The Fernbank Museum houses the world's biggest collection of mounted animal species. Fernbank is also one of the only sites on Earth where visitors may interact with living creatures such as giant pandas, giant eagles, and Komodo dragons.

Since its inception in 1968, the Fernbank Museum has established itself as a landmark for Atlanta and one of the country's most popular museums. With over 1.8 million annual visitors, it's safe to say that Fernbank Museum offers something for everyone—children, adults, and everyone in between.

Fernbank's History

Fernbank was created in 1939 as a living memorial to his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Robert H. Fernbank, by philanthropist Dr. Charles T. Russell. Fernbank was a pioneer in interactive scientific exhibits and education programs that shaped modern American culture and advanced global understanding of natural history from the start.

Operation Hours and Admission Fees

They offer deals that are almost too good to be true—with entry starting at just $5, you'll have extra money to spend on their fantastic gift shop or food truck! That's right—for less than $1 an hour, you may experience Fernbank Museum!

To ensure a comfortable visit, they strongly advise ordering tickets online in advance, as there is sometimes a large queue at the ticket desk during peak hours. Additionally, they provide discounted pricing for military people, seniors over 65, and children under the age of 12 - ensuring that everyone can experience their natural marvel!

Exhibits

The Fernbank Museum is an educational organization dedicated to creating an atmosphere conducive to learning about science and nature via interactive displays, live animals, and engaging activities for all ages.

Visit their natural history exhibitions, which feature over 500 real species, including some of the world's largest and tiniest creatures. Additionally, they feature a 4-D cinema that transports visitors to the stars and back.
